WHY THIS EXISTS

You can use generics every day and still stall when someone asks you to define one. Interviews test recall and articulation under mild pressure — which is not what writing code trains.

I built this after an interview where I described narrowing perfectly and never once said the word “narrowing”. I got a polite no. The gap wasn't knowledge, it was vocabulary under pressure, and nothing I'd practised had tested that.

03What does extends mean on a generic parameter?

YOUR ANSWER · 0:52

It's a way of saying the type you pass in has to look a certain way, so you can only use it with things that have those properties…

KEY POINTS

✓Restricts what can be passed in
✓Lets you use those properties inside
✗Called a generic constraint
✗Upper bound, not inheritance

WHAT THE GRADING TELLS YOU

Three things a practice quiz can't tell you

01 · TWO SCORES

Concepts and terminology, scored separately

Explaining the idea correctly and naming it correctly are different failures with different fixes. A 21 and a 14 mean the knowledge is there and the vocabulary isn't — which takes an evening, not a month.

02 · THEMES

Weak areas grouped, not a list of wrong answers

Twelve individual misses tell you nothing. Three or four named themes tell you what to study — and whether one shaky idea caused several wrong answers.

Straight into the free lessons that cover your gaps

Every weak theme links to the specific day of the free course that covers it, plus the glossary terms you didn't use in your own answers. Nothing further to buy.

It's just you and the questions

Interview practice is uncomfortable enough. Nothing here watches you, ranks you, or shows anyone else how you did.

No camera, ever

There is no video feature. Nothing asks for camera access at any point.

No account

Your link is the whole login. No profile, no password, no marketing list.

Audio deleted after transcription

Recordings are transcribed, then removed. Only the text is kept for grading.

Results are yours alone

Nobody is shown your score. It isn't published, shared, or compared to anyone.

WHO IT'S FOR

You have an interview booked

You want one honest rehearsal before the real thing, and a specific list of what to revise in the days you have left.

You finished the free course

Thirty days of reading felt good, and you'd like to know whether it actually landed when you have to say it out loud.

You froze in an interview before

You knew the answer and it wouldn't come out. Doing it once in private, with no one watching, takes the edge off doing it again.

Questions

Do I need a camera?+

No. There is no video in this product at all — nothing will ask for camera access, and there's no recording of you beyond the audio of your answers.

What if my microphone doesn't work?+

You test it before anything starts — you speak, and you see your words transcribed back. If it doesn't work, you can switch to text mode and type your answers, which is graded identically.

Can I pause partway through?+

Yes, at any point. Progress is saved against your link, and reopening it puts you back at the next unanswered question. There's no timer running between sessions.

How long does it take?+

About 35 minutes for 25 questions, assuming roughly a minute per answer. You're never cut off mid-answer, so it's up to you.

What happens to my recordings?+

Each recording is transcribed and then deleted. Only the transcript is kept, because that's what the grading reads. Nobody listens to your audio.

Can I retake it?+

Not on the same link — one attempt per purchase, and you get one re-record per question during it. The 25 questions are fixed, so retaking the same set would mostly test memory. You can buy a fresh interview any time.

Do I need to finish the free course first?+

No. Plenty of people take it cold to find out where they stand, then use the results to decide which days of the course to read.

What if I lose my link?+

Enter the email you paid with and we'll resend it. Your results live on that link permanently, so losing the email doesn't lose your report.
